Gary Arber is our Vice President and General Counsel. Before joining us in-house, Gary practiced law for 28 years concentrating in aviation law, but also handling civil litigation, real estate transactions, zoning matters and legal services as a public defender. Responsible for risk management, he advises the company on compliance with governmental regulations. We benefit especially from Gary's long-standing involvement in aviation, including, for example, his FAA-appointment to the Fractional Ownership Aviation Rulemaking Committee which drafted the regulations under which fractional ownership programs fly today, as well as his work with the NBAA's Regulatory Industry Advisory Group and Federal Excise Tax Working Group. With a Bachelor of Arts degree from Brandeis University and a law degree from Case-Western Reserve University School of Law, he is licensed to practice law in Massachusetts and New Hampshire. Gary holds a Commercial Pilot Certificate with Single Engine Land and Instrument-Airplane ratings. Gary combines his interest in aviation with community service by serving on the boards of directors of the New Hampshire Aviation Museum and the Aviation Safety Group of Massachusetts, Inc., and he is a volunteer counselor for the FAA Aviation Safety Program (“FAAST Team”).
