Giving Back: Northeast Flying

Giving Back: Northeast Flying

On February 25th we provided a training session endorsed by the FAA to update the FAA’s IA certification of 82 aircraft and powerplant technicians in the MA, NH, VT and ME area. Several members from our team participated in the training as well. The FAA-issued Inspector Authorization (IA) ensures that aircraft technicians have the training and experience to approve inspections on any aircraft, returning that aircraft to service with the FAA’s stamp of approval. That sounds basic until you consider the importance of highly regulated and frequent aircraft inspection cycles, and the meticulous and careful oversight of the FAA. You could say that we are helping keep the Northeast flying by training these inspectors at our facility. And the next time a 747 at the freight terminal next door undergoes an inspection, we’ll have several IAs on hand who are authorized to return it to the skies.
