Traveling Turtles

Traveling Turtles

Together, PlaneSense® pilots and an anonymous donor provided charitable airlift support to help transport 50 Kemps Ridley sea turtles from Norwood, MA to Galveston, TX.

In the recent months, over 500 of these turtles have become stranded on Massachusetts beaches, where the air and water temperatures are far too cold for them to survive. The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), along with a number of environmentalist groups, have sought out assistance from the general aviation community to help return these endangered creatures to regions where they can sustain and thrive. The PlaneSense® program was pleased to have answered the call for help and to have been part of this great cause.
