This spring offers an interesting opportunity to experience the Boston business community from the inside. On June 8, the Boston Symphony Orchestra, the largest symphonic organization in the world, will again host the annual “Presidents at Pops” gala and concert to support the BSO’s artistic and community efforts.
Aside from bringing together the top business leaders of Boston around a great cause, it’s a popular rite of spring and wonderful cultural experience. Last year it marked the 125th Anniversary of the Boston Pops. To honor the occasion, the gala and concert included Patti Austin, Arlo Guthrie, and Brian Stokes Mitchell, with narrators Robert De Niro, Morgan Freeman, Ed Harris and Cherry Jones.
One of our friends and share owners in the PlaneSense program, Peter Palandjian, CEO of Intercontinental Real Estate Corporation, is again chairing the event. In 2010, he and his committee of prominent Boston business leaders raised $900,000 to benefit this great American institution. Undoubtedly, this year’s 30th Anniversary celebration will be another wonderful performance, philanthropic success, and great opportunity to get to know the Boston community.
