MEET PETER DITE

OVERFLIGHT PERMIT

Peter Dite joined the PlaneSense

®

team

two years ago as a Flight Manager.

Born and raised in the Czech Republic

(then Czechoslovakia), Peter served

in their 82

nd

Airborne Division from

1989 to 1991 as a jumper on Mi-17

helicopters. He also worked closely

with Antonovs (similar in size to the

giant C-5 Galaxy cargo aircraft flown

by the US Air Force). While in the

Czech Republic, Peter earned an

Electro-Engineering degree.

After relocating to the United States

in 1998, Peter obtained a Bachelor’s

Degree in Computer Science from

We are pleased to announce that after

working closely with the U.S. Customs

and Border Protection Agency for several

months, our operations team was granted

a Border Overflight Exemption.

This exemption allows the PlaneSense

®

program to utilize a much larger network

of airports for Bahamian travel, and means

that our owners and passengers are no

longer limited to a select group of Florida

airports in order to clear Customs upon

re-entry to the US.

With the Overflight Exemption any airport

with a Customs office—and within a safe

travel distance of the Bahamas—is now

available for use.*

Please contact our Owner Services team

with any questions about this PlaneSense

®

program enhancement.

* Dependent on Customs office hours of

operation, aircraft range requirements

apply to all flights

PC-12 pilots will now train in Dallas,

Texas at FlightSafety International,

using an FAA certified, Level D Full

FlightSafety’s simulator is a top of the

sophisticated software to replicate

all of the flight characteristics of the

PC-12. This is the most advanced

simulator available, and allows pilots

In addition to speaking Czech, Peter is

fluent in Russian, Spanish, and English.

He enjoys cross country skiing and

snowboarding, sand volleyball, and

martial arts. For the past 6 years, Peter

has been training in Jung Ki Kwan

Hapkido, which is a Korean martial art.

He is also trained in Shotokan Karate

and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. Currently, Peter

lives in Portsmouth, NH, has two

cats, and is working on acquiring his

private pilot license.

A message from Peter: “Stastny Let!”

(Happy Flying!)

to conduct incredibly realistic training,

which will better prepare them to fly

the PC-12.

The PlaneSense

®

program had the

honor of flying Tom Brokaw (former

NBC Nightly News anchor) to and

from our Portsmouth, New Hampshire

headquarters in late May. The flights

were a donation to our friends at

The Portsmouth Music Hall, where

Mr. Brokaw had a sold out speaking

engagement at the Historic Theater.

Mr. Brokaw discussed his new memoir,

“A Lucky Life Interrupted,” which

chronicles his year spent battling

cancer. Bringing the audience through

his journey from the Great Plains to

California, from Watergate to New

York City, and from luck and success,

to courage and strength, Mr. Brokaw

shared his thoughts on mortality, family,

and friendship.

Mr. Brokaw has won two DuPonts

and two Peabody awards, as well

as a dozen Emmys, including one

for lifetime achievement. In 2014,

President Obama awarded Brokaw

the Presidential Medal of Freedom,

America’s highest civilian award.
