Aircraft Maintenance Technician – New Hampshire

Atlas Aircraft Center, Inc. (AAC) and sister company PlaneSense, Inc., (PSI) located in Portsmouth, NH, are seeking an Aircraft Maintenance Technician. Highly qualified candidates will have a minimum of 3 years of experience in aircraft maintenance, but General Aviation experience preferred. A&P Certificate Required.  The available shift is Sunday-Thursday 3:45pm-12:15am.

The Aircraft Maintenance Technician is responsible for repairing aircraft, aircraft engines, and aircraft components in accordance with applicable technical data, industry standards, and the Atlas Aircraft Center “Repair Station Manual.” A&P Mechanics need to have a good comprehension of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic disciplines as they apply to aircraft systems. In addition, technicians should own and maintain sufficient hand tools to perform duties efficiently and effectively.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

 

  • Inspect parts, systems, and airframe as part of routine scheduled maintenance
  • Perform diagnostic tests to determine necessary repairs
  • Repair defective or malfunctioning aircraft parts and systems
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose potential repairs outside of regularly scheduled maintenance
  • Be able to perform assigned tasks in compliance with all applicable FAA regulations and the Inspections Procedures Manual with little or no direct supervision
  • Have the minimum required tools to perform assigned work

 

Qualifications

 

  • Own and maintain sufficient hand tools to perform duties efficiently and effectively
  • Ability to live and work in the United States without any restrictions
  • Must pass a DOT required pre-employment drug screen and thereafter submit to DOT mandated random drug and alcohol testing
  • Must pass a background check including a government required fingerprint based criminal history records check.
  • Valid state driver’s license
  • Carries or can obtain a valid U.S. Passport for training purposes
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain an airport security badge.
  • Capability of lifting to 60 lbs.
  • Willing and able to work different shifts consisting of nights, holidays, and weekends

Education and/or Experience

 

  • A&P Certificate
  • 1-3 Years’ aircraft maintenance experience preferred
  • Aircraft parts management experience preferred, but not required

Computer Skills

  • Computer skills to include MS Office, Crystal Reports, Corridor and CAMP

Training provided by Atlas Aircraft Center, Inc. consists of extensive initial training to become familiar with both the AAC and the PlaneSense program. AAC technicians attend factory training with Pilatus, engine training with Pratt & Whitney, ongoing education through FAA-sponsored classes, component instruction, continuous on-the-job training, and more!
