Temporary Receptionist
PlaneSense, Inc., a NH aviation management company, is seeking a temporary full-time Receptionist for its headquarters in Portsmouth, NH.
This candidate will be covering a maternity leave from July 2025-October 2025 however training would begin in June. The work schedule is Monday-Friday, 8:30 AM-5:00 PM.
The Receptionist’s primary objective is two-fold. First it is to operate the 8X8 multiline telephone system in an efficient and polite manner and to direct calls to their destination without delay. Secondly, it is to greet guests, answer their questions and announce their arrival in a professional manner to give the best impression of the company possible. Since we are a Security Identification Display Area (SIDA) location, it is important for the receptionist to connect visitors with the proper employee in the company. Currently the receptionist has been given some duties by the Facilities Department.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Answer calls and maintain a rapid response rate.
- Perform reception duties in an efficient, professional and courteous manner.
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships with coworkers, supervisors and the general public.
- Order and maintain relevant office supplies for effectiveness, always making sure to be cognizant of price point.
- Assist departments with administrative needs.
- Maintain regular, consistent and professional attendance, punctuality, personal appearance and adherence to relevant security standards.
- Process all company mail.
- Send birthday and anniversary cards to all employees each month.
- Involved in the planning of all events and parties.
- Assist in the processing of Airport and Company Identification Badges.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Familiarity with office equipment (phone systems, printers, scanners)
- Ability to effectively multitask and trouble shoot all while maintaining the highest level of professionalism and customer service
- Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal)
- Strong interpersonal skills with a friendly and professional demeanor
- Attention to detail and ability to multitask efficiently
- Organizational skills to manage appointments and documents effectively
- Problem-solving abilities for managing inquiries and minor conflicts
- Time management skills to handle a busy front desk environment
Education and/or Experience
- High School Diploma or GED
- 1 – 2 years of previous office or administrative experience
- 1 – 2 years of customer service experience is highly valued.
Computer Skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)
