Custodian – Nevada
Atlas Aircraft Center, Inc., a sister company of PlaneSense, Inc., is seeking a full-time Custodian for its aircraft maintenance facility located in Boulder City, NV.
The custodial staff is responsible for performing essential cleaning and small building maintenance functions daily or as needed.
The available shift for this position is Monday-Friday, 2:30 PM-10:30 PM.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Cleaning: Vacuum floors, clean all glass surfaces, clean all stainless surfaces, scrub floors, clean break room after each meal, clean the coffee areas, conference rooms, sanitize bathrooms and kitchens, remove trash, dusting, clean hangar floor, glass, hand wash stations, staircase and balcony.
- Use and properly maintain assigned power equipment and hand tools, buffers, auto scrubbers, extractors, vacuums, brooms, mops and squeegees.
- Work Orders: Perform functions as they arise to correct or improve defects in the building.
- Coordination: Coordinate between vendors, contractors and facility managers.
- Deliver mail between facilities and other locations.
- Restock cleaning supplies, minor repair projects such as adjusting doors, repairing sheetrock, and painting, installing new appliances or other equipment as necessary.
- Clean and maintain grounds. Ensure walkways, stairwells and sidewalks are clean, clear and safe. Replace lightbulbs, move furniture, clean air filters, escort vendors, prepare meeting rooms as requested.
- Aid in preventative maintenance and construction coordination as needed.
Qualifications
- Ability to physically and mentally perform job functions (such as lifting equipment and items, safely operating equipment, following instructions for the use of chemicals and supplies).
- A valid Driver’s license and ability to pass a 10-year criminal history records check a must.
Education and/or Experience
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in construction, maintenance or custodial work.
Computer Skills
- Computer skills a plus.
