Parts Room Supervisor
Atlas Aircraft Center, Inc., and sister company PlaneSense, Inc., is seeking a Parts Room Supervisor to join its dynamic Parts Department team in Portsmouth, NH.
The Parts Room Supervisor assists the Manager, Parts and Office Administration in the day-to-day functions of the Parts Department. Parts Supervisor may delegate authority to any qualified individual. However, this delegation does not relieve the Parts Supervisor of the overall responsibility of compliance.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned:
- Oversees the daily operations of the parts room.
- Directly supervises parts room attendants, ensuring efficient support of hanger and facility operations.
- Ensure the preservation of all items in inventory, minimizing shrinkage and damage, and requiring on going cycle counts to verify on-hand inventory levels. Verify cycle counts and spot checks.
- Assist Manager- Parts and Office Administration and Purchasing Managers with purchasing, warranty claims, acquiring vendors and sending parts out for service.
- Verify and receive all incoming items in accordance with the Repair Station and Parts Room procedures.
- Maintain control on all rotables and core exchanges.
- Maintain inventory control on all company owned equipment within the Tool Crib.
- Responsible for maintaining all records within the Parts Room.
Qualifications:
- Must pass a background check including a government required fingerprint based criminal history records check.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a DOT card
- Valid state driver’s license
- Must be able to obtain and maintain an airport security badge.
- Capability of lifting to 60 lbs.
Education and/or Experience:
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Experience in a Parts Room, Tool Crib, or other type of stockroom preferred.
- Experience in a supervisor role preferred.
- In-house forklift and hazmat safety training.
- Safety training certificates including forklift and hazmat.
- Ability to operate power equipment.
Computer Skills:
- Microsoft Office
- Ability to learn aviation specific software
