Line Staff Supervisor – New Hampshire
PlaneSense Inc., a leading private aviation company headquartered in Portsmouth, NH, is seeking a skilled Supervisor to join its Line Staff team. The Line Staff team is an integral part of successful ramp operations in ensuring the safe movement of aircraft, as well as keeping the fleet properly cleaned, stocked, and ready for flight.
The Line Staff Supervisor is expected to perform the essential Duties and Responsibilities listed below as well as other duties that may be assigned:
- Adhere to and promote all company safety practices and policies
- Respond to all service needs of aircraft and flight crew (call in fuel, lavatory, catering, baggage assistance, special requests, etc.)
- Complete all required paperwork
- Supervise line technicians
- Train Line Service Technicians
- Schedule line personnel to ensure all shifts are properly staffed
- Ensure compliance with all Federal Aviation Regulations (FAR’s)
- Interact with local airport authority
- Aircraft cleaning and detailing
- Stock aircraft of food and supplies
- Providing assistance in ground movement & ground support to aircraft
- Meet inbound aircraft upon arrival to ramp, and helping prepare aircraft for departure
- Staging/towing aircraft to and from the hangar and remote parking areas
- Hangar housekeeping.
- Sanitation services to the aircraft
- Vehicle transport of flight crews and company personnel as requested
- General maintenance for ground support equipment
- Assist the Facilities Department with up keeping of the grounds
- Loading and unloading of client luggage into the aircraft and their personal vehicles
Qualifications
- This position provides excellent customer service for passengers and for various departments in the company. Professional, well-groomed appearance must be maintained at all times.
- Ability to work in all-weather environments.
Education and/or Experience:
- Minimum 2 years’ Aviation experience in supervision and or Line Service experience.
- Ability to physically and mentally perform job functions (such as lifting equipment and items, safely operating equipment, following instructions for the use of chemicals and supplies).
- Secure and sustain Valid State Driver’s license
- Ability to pass 10-year criminal history records checks a must.
Computer Skills:
The Facilities Supervisor should be proficient in Microsoft Office, and various web-based applications.
Other Skills and Abilities:
Excellent computer, time management, verbal communication, and written skills are necessary.

The noise level in the work environment is often loud from machines and airplanes. At times, stress can build from time limitations, employee and customer demands, and heavy material handling. Work is often performed in both indoor and outdoor environments.
